“Without understanding airway, and without understanding sleep, we cannot become [a] comprehensive dentist.”

Dr. Kelly Kim on Becoming a Comprehensive Dentist
This week on Vivos Voices, we visited with Dr. Kelly Kim, a talented dentist and trained Vivos Integrated Provider (VIP).
Dentistry is one of the oldest medical professions, dating back to around 7000 BCE. However, it wasn’t until the last century that we’ve seen a more comprehensive approach, integrating sleep and airway, as we better understand our oral anatomy and its relationship with our respiratory system. Vivos Therapeutics, Inc. is on the front line for this transition, educating dentists on their essential role in treating the sleep apnea epidemic.
“I joined Vivos during the pandemic,” shares Dr. Kim. “Even if you have zero knowledge about sleep or about airway, about Vivos, you could totally start.” This is true. The goal of Vivos Therapeutics, Inc. is to educate our providers, elevate their practices, and put an end to mild-to-moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Whether you start with some basic knowledge, are a sleep and airway pro, or are brand new, our team is here to help you.
“Being a Vivos Provider made me become [a] better dentist in terms of comprehensive dentistry,” says Dr. Kim. “Without understanding airway, and without understanding sleep, we cannot become [a] comprehensive dentist.”
Comprehensive dentistry is the future. There’s so much to learn, and the integration of sleep and airway is an excellent place to start. It’s time to breathe new life with Vivos Therapeutics, Inc.
I am a, Dr. Kelly Kim. I practice in Aubrey, Texas. I joined Vivos, uh, during the pandemic, so it was, uh, 2020 March, April. I asked so many question about Vivos. I kind of wanted to know like, you know, everything before I joined. I made a big decision. So, even if you know like, if you, even if you have a zero knowledge about sleep or about airway, about Vivos, you could totally start. Being a Vivos provider make me become better, uh, dentist in terms of comprehensive dentistry. This is the whole mouth, whole airway center, and without understanding airway, and without understanding the sleep, we cannot become a comprehensive dentist.
