Dr. Haerter - Vivos Voices

“You can fix a human being to become functional. I mean, who doesn’t want to do that?”

Dr. Haerter on Changing Lives with Vivos Therapeutics, Inc.

This week on Vivos Voices, we visited with Dr. Jonathan Haerter, a general dentist and trained Vivos Integrated Provider (VIP).

Vivos Therapeutics, Inc. teaches healthcare professionals that developmental issues often begin in infancy. Depending on the natural structure of the airway and lifestyle factors—such as length of time breastfed, the use of a pacifier, and integration of hard food into the diet—a child can experience an overall better or worsened quality of life due to their sleep. “I look back now and I go, ‘If I could have gotten that kid when they were little, I could have prevented all this.’”

Why is this the case? The root of many sleep disorders is an issue with the airway and breathing. And insufficient sleep due to an obstruction, such as the tongue, can lead to bedwetting, night terrors, inadequate sleep, and more. The good news? We can fix this with The Vivos System.

“You’re going to change someone’s life for the rest of their life going forward. You can fix a human being to become functional. I mean, who doesn’t want to do that?”

My name is Dr. Jon Haerter, um, I practice, um, Basalt, Colorado near Aspen, and I’ve been doing this 21 years. You know, what I see every day is that people are commonly coming into me telling me that, you know, that they’re, they’re tired all the time. My patients, a lot of them tell me, and I live at, you know, 9,000 feet, so we have a lot of people that struggle with sleep, I think just based on being at a high altitude. And so, when you throw on a sleep breathing disorder in that environment where they’re already sort of hypoxic from a high altitude, um, I, I, I think that it, it’s, uh, kind of a no-brainer to sort of help people try to sleep better, especially when they’re already struggling with where we live. So much of the dentistry we do, or I do in the last 21 years, I look back now and go, if I could have got that kid when they were little, I could have prevented all this. The most exciting part is being able to treat the root cause of what’s causing everything else I see in my practice. And so if I feel like if I can get the word out that, hey we can take your child who’s struggling, or we can take your teenager who’s having all these crazy issues, whether it’s developmentally or it’s behaviorally or just the way they even look and appear and carry themselves and I mean I think you’re, you’re going to change somebody’s life for the rest of their life, going forward. So that’s to me, the most exciting part is you can fix a human being to become functional, right. I mean, who doesn’t want to do that?
