The Vivos Method: A Multidisciplinary Approach
Our treatment involves customized protocols and oral appliance technology designed to address the underlying factors of obstructive sleep apnea.
Understanding the Underlying Condition
Most treatments only manage your symptoms. Vivos treats the underlying condition. Chronic health conditions associated with sleep apnea can often be traced back to improper development of the jaws and oral cavity. By addressing the underlying structural issue, Vivos offers the potential for lasting resolution.
The BIG Picture
Most Treatments Manage Symptoms. Vivos Treats the Cause.
While conventional methods provide necessary daily support to manage symptoms, the Vivos Method focuses on the underlying airway anatomy. This approach targets the foundation of your airway health to encourage natural, long-term restoration.
CPAP machines work the same way for sleep apnea. They force air through your blocked airway while you wear the mask. They help you breathe that night, but they don’t change anything about your airway. Stop using the CPAP, and the problem returns.
Vivos is different. Instead of managing the blockage, we help your body actually open the airway. Your jaw gently expands. Your airway gets bigger. After treatment, many patients breathe better without needing any device.

Your Treatment Journey
Observation & Screening
Your journey begins with awareness.
Your dentist or provider will look for warning signs during a regular checkup. They are trained to spot over 15 clues that your airway may be compromised:
- Scalloped tongue (wavy edges from pressing against teeth)
- Narrow dental arch (roof of mouth looks like a high dome)
- Worn or cracked teeth (from grinding at night)
- Receding gums
- Small jaw or retruded (set-back) lower jaw
Sleep Assessment & Diagnosis
We measure what’s happening while you sleep.
If screening suggests a problem, the next step is to find out for sure. Using VivoScore™ technology, you take a simple sleep test at home:
- Wear a small ring sensor on your finger while you sleep, like a fitness tracker
- No hospital visit. No wires. No uncomfortable equipment.
- The ring measures your body’s responses during sleep
- Results are reviewed by a board-certified sleep physician
- You get a clear diagnosis: do you have sleep apnea, and how severe is it?
Treatment Planning & Design
AI-powered precision for your unique anatomy.
Every mouth is different. Your treatment is designed specifically for you:
- Your provider takes a 3D digital scan of your mouth (no messy impressions)
- The scan is sent to the Airway Intelligence Service™
- Advanced computer analysis studies your unique anatomy
- The system recommends which appliance (DNA, mRNA, or mmRNA) will work best
- Your custom appliance is designed and fabricated
Treatment and Monitoring
Small adjustments over time create lasting change.
Over 9-12 months, you wear your custom appliance. Your provider makes regular adjustments. Your jaw gradually expands. Your airway opens. You start breathing better and feeling better.
- Regular visits (every 4-6 weeks) to track progress
- Gentle adjustments to continue enhancing the airway
- Progress monitoring with follow-up assessments
- Completion when treatment goals are achieved
